2020-2022
The "Revitalization of Hall C81" project at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports was launched with regard to the upcoming presidency of the Czech Republic in the Council of the EU. The goal was to transform the existing space into a modern conference hall with advanced Audio Video solution, including sound systems, interpreter cabins, a conference system and a video wall. The reconstruction took place in a listed building, where we also renovated the lighting with new LED technology. The customer's request was to preserve the historical character of the lamps.
The construction work included not only aesthetic modifications such as new plaster, floors and doors, but also technical aspects such as the demolition of niches in the floor for cable routes. Special emphasis was placed on the acoustics of the hall, the fundamental parameter of which is the reverberation time. As part of the project, special strips in the vaults, an acoustic painting on the wall, as well as furniture and carpets ensuring optimal spatial acoustics and intelligibility in the entire hall were designed and installed.
The project was implemented under considerable time pressure, with a completion date set at just 4 months. Despite these challenges, all requirements were met at a high level, which led to great satisfaction of our customer. Overall, this revitalization transformed Hall C81 into a technologically advanced and aesthetically appealing space, fully prepared to host prestigious international events.
